Goal: Increase the pastoral value of dwarf grasslands

Moisture status of site:Dry (<500mm annual rainfall; soil moisture deficit)

NOTE:

Dwarf grasslands are unlikely to be a priority area for pastoral development, being located in the driest parts of the landscape. However, a longterm reduction in grazing pressure (through rabbit control, for example) is likely to result in a more pastorally useful grassland, through the growth of exotic pastoral plants.

Reduced grazing pressure, where it results in a resurgence of taller plants may therefore not be desirable for conservation management of dwarf grasslands.
